Hydro Charger

There are 4 Hydro Generator models to choose from:

• 7147: Hydro Charger for 12 Volts systems with standard mount
• 71471: Hydro Charger for 12 Volts systems with pivot mount

• 7148: Hydro Charger for 24 Volts systems with standard mount
• 71481: Hydro Charger for 24 Volts systems with pivot mount

The Hydro Charger is offered as a complete system which includes the Generator unit (including Pylon and Support), Propeller, Lifting Mechanism, Mounting Bracket, Hydro & Solar Hybrid Charge Controller, and 4 m 3-core cable.

Generator

• Smooth running through custom-designed planetary gear
• Low ratio prevents high motor speeds
• Optimized efficiency through custom-designed transmission
• Double seals (2 O-rings each)
• Multiple-bearing propeller shaft
• Easy to remove and disassemble
• Streamlined body with hard anodized aluminum housing and Delrin covers
• All screws (A4) are additionally protected against corrosion by Duralac
• No propeller forces transmitted to the gearbox due to special coupling
• Almost inaudible in the water

Propeller

• Main body manufactured in a solid synthetic material
• Stove-enameled aluminum propeller blades
• Blade pitch angle is infinitely adjustable to account for boat type and speed
• Propeller blades are individually replaceable if needed
• Blades were designed using CFD software (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to optimize the blade form and twist for superior performance

Lifting Mechanism

• Stainless-steel bracket with adjustable segment, folding-up with a line
• Folding under speed is no problem because there is a 4 to 1 line reduction ratio
• The generator is locked into position when deployed
• Quick connect design for mounting and securing on the mounting bracket

Hydro & Solar Hybrid Charge Controller

• Integrated digital display
• Up to 16/32 volt adjustable, perfect to compensate for voltage loss
• Built-in free wheel (propeller turns freely when max. set battery voltage is reached)
• Additional switch for free wheel
• Additional connection for solar panels or wind generator
• Additional connection for direct output, which will be automatically shut down depending on battery charge state
• Additional alarm when battery is completely charged
• Rated Power: 1,000W (Best ratio: Hydro Generator 600W, PV cells 400W, max. 60VDC)
• Applicable batteries: 12V (minimum 200Ah) or 24V (minimum 100Ah), voltage is detected automatically
• Battery full charge cut: 16V / 32V (adjustable)

ATTENTION! It is possible to operate the Hydro Charger with lithium batteries, but always in consultation and with permission from the battery manufacturer! In this case, an on/off switch relay and diode must always be installed between the Hydro Charger and the Charge Controller, as otherwise, our regulator could suffer damage.
